Pricing & Payments

How do payments work?

50% deposit at project kickoff, 50% on launch day. We accept e-transfer. No payment required until we've had the discovery call and you're ready to proceed.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The package price covers the build. The $200/year covers hosting, domain, and SSL. The only additional costs would be add-ons you choose (branding kit, SEO retainer, monthly maintenance retainer) or out-of-scope work you request after the project starts.

What if I need something that isn't in the package?

We scope your project before work starts and confirm exactly what's included. If requirements change during the build, we discuss scope and cost before proceeding — no surprise invoices.


Ownership & Control

Do I own my website when it's done?

Yes. You own the domain, the code, and everything on the site. If you ever want to move hosting, we provide all the files. No lock-in, no platform dependency.

Can I update my own content?

Minor content updates (text, hours, phone numbers) are covered during your post-launch support period, and under a monthly retainer if you have one. For clients who want to self-manage, we can discuss content management options during the scoping call.

What happens if I stop paying the $200/year hosting fee?

Your domain and hosting will eventually lapse. We'll remind you before renewal. If you want to cancel, we hand over your domain and files so you can continue elsewhere. You're never trapped.


Timeline & Process

How fast can you build my site?

Starter sites typically launch in 1–2 weeks. Business sites in 2–3 weeks. Professional web apps in 4–6 weeks. The biggest variable is how quickly you provide content and feedback.

What do I need to provide?

For most projects: your logo (if you have one), 10–20 photos, a description of each service you offer, your contact details, and 2–3 competitor sites you like. We'll send you a content brief at kickoff that makes this simple.

What if I don't have photos or a logo?

We can use high-quality stock photography for launch and swap in real photos later. We also offer a Branding Kit ($500) that includes logo design if you need one.


SEO & Rankings

Can you guarantee I'll rank #1 on Google?

No — and anyone who promises that is lying. We guarantee that your site will be technically optimized correctly for local search. Rankings depend on competition, domain history, and Google's algorithm. What we can say: most Whitehorse businesses in low-competition niches reach the Local Pack within 60–90 days of launch with proper optimization.

How long until I see results from SEO?

Typically 30–90 days for initial movement in local rankings. Full results compound over 6–12 months as Google indexes your content and collects signals. In a smaller market like Whitehorse, the timeline is often faster than in major cities.
